The Ashmont: A Primary Bathroom Designed as a Retreat
The primary bathroom at the Ashmont feels less like a functional space and more like a retreat within a retreat. Anchoring the vanity wall, a Frammenti Brick Nero 3×16 polished porcelain accent brings a moody, glamorous edge into a room otherwise dressed in soft neutrals, its glazed surface shifting with the light throughout the day. Custom white oak cabinetry grounds the space in warmth below, topped with vessel sinks and brass faucets that catch just enough shine against the dark backdrop to feel intentional rather than stark.
Brass sconces flank each mirror, casting a soft, flattering glow that makes the morning routine feel a little more like a ritual. On either side, tall linen cabinets soften the room further, their subtle cut-out detail and Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist finish adding quiet texture without ever competing with the statement wall at the center. Everywhere else, walls painted in Benjamin Moore Halo keep the space calm and airy, so the drama of the black tile has room to breathe.
Underfoot, 3″ hexagon Bianco Gioia marble mosaic tile brings a cool, spa-like softness to the whole room, its gentle veining catching light in a way that feels almost quiet compared to the bold tile above.
