Pre-Design Questionnaire

We’ve compiled a set of questions to assist you in expressing your vision for your upcoming home. If you could take a few moments to these questions, it’ll really kickstart the planning process whether with us or someone else (We hope it’s us!). Consider this form as an “icebreaker” designed to guide us through the initial discussions with our Co-Owner Anthony Moore.

As you go through the questions, keep a few things in mind:

Envision grand possibilities, then fine-tune.

Feel free to contemplate and depict your ideal scenario without hesitation. As progress unfolds, you can refine these concepts to align with budget constraints, zoning regulations, timeframes, land considerations, and other practicalities.

Distinguish between “must-haves,” “desires,” “aspirations,” and “deal-breakers.”

Identify the essential elements in your home that are indispensable. Your desired features should be practical and readily attainable. Aspirations for your home may be more challenging, demanding significant resources. Equally crucial is specifying elements you prefer to avoid when envisioning the image of your home.

Avoid solving the problem; instead, articulate your desires.

Even if your challenges and aspirations appear conflicting or difficult to achieve, continue progressing with your design and concentrate on your preferences. If there are conflicting opinions between you and your partner, incorporate all perspectives. Addressing everyone’s concerns is crucial to creating something that suits everyone.

Find Inspiration Online and share that with us.

Explore Houzz and Pinterest for inspiration.  When thinking about floor plans consider things like, architectural elements, building materials that resonate with you, natural light coming into the home, and functionality of a space.

Explain what you appreciate in a home and what you do not.

When providing feedback or expressing your preferences, it’s valuable to delve into the specifics of what aspects resonate with you or what elements you find less appealing. If there’s something you appreciate, consider articulating the particular features, characteristics, or qualities that contribute to your positive impression. Likewise, if there’s something you dislike, pinpoint the aspects that do not align with your taste or vision.
